The Carmel Apples defeated the West Virginia Dancin' Outlaws, 4-2, at The Rain Forest. Keagan Strain produced 3 singles and 1 double, while scoring 1 run and driving in 2. Marco Saldivar snagged the win in relief. The right-hander allowed 1 run on 1 hit over 2 innings. He's now 2-6 on the season. Getting the save was Jeff Gamble, his 21st.

West Virginia manager Guy de Kleijn said he was "mildly disappointed" with the loss. "We had our opportunities, but we didn't take advantage of them," he said.
