Warriors Score Late, Clip Birdwings, 13-12
|
The home crowd had a good time watching the Hazleton Birdwings and Moose Jaw Warriors get after it.
Getting offensive support from Alexis Rosas, the Moose Jaw Warriors topped the Hazleton Birdwings, 13-12. Rosas went 1-2 with a home run and 4 walks. He scored 2 runs and drove in 2 for the Warriors. Craig Dell'Olio recorded the save. In save chances, he's now 23 for 25.
Romulus, Michigan-born Lupe Bermudez came through in the clutch. In the bottom of the eighth, with the bases loaded and the Warriors trailing 12-11, he hit a 2-run single to center to put Moose Jaw on top.
"We've got great fans," said Rosas. "I hope they got what they came for."
