Mustangs Take Nail-Biter Over Gnats
|
In a low-scoring tilt between the San Angelo Mustangs and the Nichols Gnats, Connor McDaniel, who is tied for 10th in the THA with a 3.76 ERA, was the difference-maker. The San Angelo right-hander spearheaded the 2-1 win. The winner in relief was Jose Davila. He is now 2-1. The right-hander allowed no runs on 2 hits in 2 innings. The Mustangs go to 58-95 with the win.
In the bottom of the tenth, Andy Hughes knew he could end it with one good swing of the bat. And he did, hitting a run-scoring single off Nichols pitcher Steve Wilkerson.
