Five O's Need Extra Innings to Top Panthers, 1-0
|
In a tight tilt between the Oconomowoc Five O's and the Charleston Panthers, Ray Thompson was the difference-maker. The Oconomowoc right-hander excelled in his team's 1-0 win in 15 innings. The winner was Oconomowoc reliever Luis Velez, now 5-1. The loser was Manny Perez. Oconomowoc, at 87-47, is 3½ games up in the TML A Dick Williams Division.
Jonathan Feliciano had a direct impact on the outcome. Feliciano contributed a run-scoring sacrifice fly in the top of the 15th inning to put Oconomowoc up, 1-0.
"Makes our job easier," said Feliciano, "when our pitchers shut the opposition down."
