The San Angelo Mustangs extended their losing streak with a defeat by the Ottawa Civics.

The Ottawa Civics beat the San Angelo Mustangs, 8-5, at Civics Field. Roberto Perez, in particular, was impressive. He went 3-4 with a home run and a double, while scoring 3 times. Rodrigo Gutierrez notched his 5th save of the season.

Danny Romero, who is tied for 6th in the THA in stolen bases with 20, chipped in a 2-run home run for Ottawa in the bottom of the first. For the game, the left fielder had 2 hits in 4 at-bats with 1 home run, 1 single, 1 run scored, and 3 RBI.

"We've hit a rough patch right now," said San Angelo skipper Luis López.

The misery never ends for the Mustangs, who've lost 12 in a row.
