Sasquatch Pick Up 5-1 Win Against West Island
|
The home crowd had a good time watching the West Island Jazz and Seattle Sasquatch get after it.
Thor Odinson, who finished 5th in the RCL in wins with 17 in 2051, was terrific for the Seattle Sasquatch in his team's 5-1 triumph over the West Island Jazz. His performance earned Odinson rave reviews. Odinson, now 6-3, was the winner. In 7 innings, he gave up 4 hits, while striking out 3, walking 4, and allowing 1 run.
Noah Kate had a big 2-run home run for the Sasquatch in the bottom of the fifth inning. With Seattle leading 2-0 and a runner on 1st, he sized up a fastball from two-time All-Star Sam Hickey and punished it. The result was his 6th home run of the season, which put the Sasquatch on top, 4-0.
"This level of focus will win us a lot of ballgames," Kate said after the game.
The Sasquatch now have a record of 28-35.
