Andrews Clubs 2 Home Runs in 12-4 Nichols Win
The Nichols Gnats knocked off the San Angelo Mustangs by the score of 12-4. Gene Andrews provided some pop, going 3-for-3 with 2 home runs. Carlos Canales earned the win for Nichols. He lasted 7 innings, allowing 1 run on 5 hits, while striking out 10. With the win, he raised his record to 6-7. Nichols has run its win streak to 4 consecutive.

Matt Markham had a big grand slam home run for the Gnats in the bottom of the first inning. With Nichols leading 3-0 and the bases loaded, he got a splitter from Juan Huerta and swatted a home run to left. It was his 11th home run of the season, and more importantly, it put the Gnats ahead, 7-0.
