Texans Get Dramatic 4-3 Win
|
The Dallas Texans picked up a win at Metroplex Park, topping the Maple Marauders, 4-3. On the mound for Dallas was right-hander Bob Epperson. He played a principal role in the triumph. The winner was Dallas reliever Chris Nugent, now 1-6. The loser was Josh Wahl. The last-place Texans bumped their record to 28-40.
Chris Sawyer did his part for the Texans, producing a solo home run in the bottom of the fourth inning. For the game, the center fielder went 3 for 4 with a home run and a double.
Afterward, Texans manager Lester Burrow said, "We had some good at-bats, some big at-bats in some key situations."
