Slide Continues for Bison
|
The Mexico City Luchadores picked up a win at The Royal Grounds, downing the Bighorn Bison, 4-3. On the mound for Mexico City was right-hander Eric Lewis, who played a pivotal role in the win. Lewis picked up the win for Mexico City, going 7.1 innings. He gave up 3 runs on 7 hits. He now sports a record of 3-4. Bighorn is in the throes of a losing streak which has reached 10 games.
George Deisinger dealt the Bison a blow in the bottom of the fifth. Batting with the bases loaded and Mexico City leading 1-0, Deisinger, who is tied for 7th in the RCL in home runs with 15, hit a 2-2 curveball for a run-scoring single.
Afterward, Bighorn manager Carlos Esparza said: "Every team has a bad week."
