Toreros Eke Out 7-6 Win Versus Bighorn
The Cabo San Lucas Toreros faced a tough opponent in Bighorn pitcher Wes Stith, but did just enough to pull out the victory at Field de Los Layendas by a final score of 7-6. Stith went 5.1 innings and allowed 1 run. Victor Gonzalez earned the win after being summoned from the bullpen. The left-hander allowed 1 run on 2 hits in 2 innings. He upped his record to 3-3. Andy Carr earned the save for Cabo San Lucas, his 4th.

The Toreros got a big hit from left fielder Mark Launay. In the bottom of the sixth, Launay smacked a grand slam home run off Bighorn pitcher Andy Johnson. It was his 7th home run of the season. Suddenly, the Toreros were ahead, 5-2.

"Time to decompress after a tough win," said Launay.

At 30-38, the Toreros are currently 5th in the Roberto Clemente League International Division.
