The Scottsdale Scorpions and the Thunder Bay Lighting will take the League Championship Series to a decisive 7th game. In a must-win situation, the Scorpions beat the Lighting, 12-3, at Lightning Grove to force the series into what will essentially be a one-game playoff. Scottsdale catcher Israel Jimenez went 2 for 3 with a home run and 2 walks, while adding 4 RBI and scoring once.

Antonio Pecina helped out the Scottsdale cause in the top of the fourth inning with a run-scoring walk. For the game, the center fielder drew 2 walks.

Lighting manager Masamune Fujimoto did not take questions after the game, telling assembled reporters that he would hold a press conference "if and when we win the Rookie League Championship."

The next game is set to be played tomorrow at Lightning Grove in Thunder Bay.
