Pirates Win Divisional Series
The Paradise Island Pirates said they felt the Divisional Series with the Montreal Cardinals would go the distance.

But it didn't end up being that difficult, as Paradise Island advanced to the League Championship Series with a 8-6 score, to clinch the series 4-2 at Predator Park.

"Whether it goes to the final game or not, we faced a good team and got the job done. It's a big momentum boost for us," said Juan Torres, who was named series MVP. "We're all feeling good about our chances to win the League Championship Series."

For the series, Torres hit .429 with a .613 on-base percentage. He had 2 home runs, drove in 7 RBI and scored 6 runs.

The Paradise Island Pirates will play against the Frobisher Bay Caribou in the next round. Frobisher Bay won their series against the Rockville Rangers 4 games to 1. The League Championship Series schedule will be announced after the Divisional Series finishes.
