Freeze Hammered by Spain, Drop Game 6 to Coal Miners
The Antioch Coal Miners defeated the Minneapolis Freeze, 10-4, in Game 6 of the Triple A League Championship. Making an impact was first baseman Jeff Spain, who went 4 for 5 with a home run and 3 singles, while scoring 4 runs and driving in 3. The win moves Antioch into a 3-3 tie with Minneapolis in the series.

Spain had a key at-bat in the bottom of the sixth to put Antioch in front, 7-3. With runners on 1st and 3rd, he hit a 3-run home run off Minneapolis pitcher Devin Gammon.

"I just tried to see the ball and put a good swing on it," said Spain.

The next game is set to be played tomorrow at The Coal Mine in Antioch.
