Steelhounds Hammered by Dunse, Drop Game 3 to Cougars
Riding the 3-hit performance of first baseman Edwin Dunse, the Victoria Cougars stopped the visiting Brighton Steelhounds, 6-3, in Game 3 of the Divisional Series. Dunse slugged 2 home runs for the Cougars, who now lead the best-of-7 series, 2 games to 1.

The Cougars took the lead in the bottom of the fifth. With no one out, Manny Gomez hit a 2-run home run off Brighton pitcher Alfredo Alvizo, putting Victoria in front, 4-3. For the game, Gomez went 1-4 with a home run and a walk, while adding 2 RBI and scoring once.

"I believe in our guys," said Victoria skipper Tony Varela. "I like the energy they're playing with."

The next game is set to be played tomorrow at Cougars Park in Victoria.
