Riddle Blasts Martians, Five O's Take Game 3, 7-4
|
Riding the 3-hit performance of left fielder Damian Riddle, the Oconomowoc Five O's stopped the visiting Moonbeam Martians, 7-4, in Game 3 of the League Championship Series. Riddle went 3-4 with a home run and a double, while scoring 2 times and driving in 2 for the Five O's, who now lead the best-of-7 series, 2 games to 1.
In the bottom of the 5th, Oconomowoc took the lead on a 2-run single by Dave Terrell. At the time, the Five O's were trailing 3-2, but Terrell's hit with two outs against Moonbeam pitcher Bill Oestreich put them in front, 4-3.
"This team has the heart of a lion," said Five O's manager Jorge Murillo.
The next game is set to be played tomorrow at Arnold Field in Oconomowoc.
