Moonbeam Tops Oconomowoc
The Moonbeam faithful were cheering in the streets, and Oconomowoc fans wiping away the tears, after the Martians won the Single A World Series at Arnold Field today.

The Martians clinched it by knocking off the Five O's 17-5 to take their 7th SINGLE A crown. Moonbeam took the series 4-1.

"This club never gave up all year long," Moonbeam manager Pedro Pérez told the press. "They believed they could win the title and they did."

On the way to the Single A World Series title, Moonbeam compiled a 130-32 won-loss record and finished first in the RCL A Dusty Baker Division.

"We just didn't play well enough to win," Five O's manager Evan Thorne said. "We just didn't make the big plays like they did."
