The Walnut Creek Warriors topped the Houghton Gremlins, 5-4, in Roberto Clemente League action at Castlerock Field. The standout performance belonged to Walnut Creek pitcher and Saint-Marc, Haiti, native Marcel Antoine. Walnut Creek pitcher Darren Rogers got the win. He's now 1-0. Chris Wethington was tagged with the loss. With the loss, Houghton sinks to 1-6.

Pete Witt was the walk-off hero for Walnut Creek. With the game tied in the bottom of the ninth inning, the Warriors designated hitter hit a dramatic run-scoring single to send the teams home.

"This place sure got loud," said Miguel de la Rosa, the Walnut Creek manager.
