The Buffalo Bison defeated the El Paso Mavericks, 7-5. Center Fielder Danny Pellot deserved a large share of the credit. Pellot went 2-3 with a home run, while scoring 2 times for the Bison. Mike Waldrup collected his 15th save. Buffalo goes to 33-36, El Paso to 33-37.

Buffalo took a 7-4 lead on Josh Bye's 23rd home run of the season. The 3-run home run, which Bye hit in the bottom of the eighth, left El Paso pitcher Pat Henry visibly frustrated.

"I hate to be the fly in the ointment," said Bye, "but we could've played better."
