West Island Wins at Home to Take 2-1 Lead in R1
Riding the 2-hit performance of right fielder Dave Ojeda, the West Island Jazz stopped the visiting Montreal Mounties, 8-6, in Game 3 of the Round 1. Ojeda was 2-2 with a double. He drove in 3 runs and scored once for the Jazz, who now lead the best-of-7 series, 2 games to 1.

The game was all tied up in the bottom of the eighth, until Ojeda delivered big-time for West Island, stroking a dramatic 2-run double off Eric Wilkinson. The game-changing hit put the Jazz on top, 7-5.

"Trying isn't good enough in this league," said Ojeda. "You've got to get results."

The next game is set to be played tomorrow at Stade Claude Raymond in Montreal.
