Kansas City beat San Francisco at Golden Gate Park, escaping with a 4-3 win. The win in large part was due to catcher Joe Constable. He went 3-4 with a home run and 2 singles. The 5th-place Tornadoes hiked their record to 33-40.

Making an impact for Kansas City was right fielder Ramon Tapia. Clueless drilled a 2-run triple off Jerry Fey in the top of the fourth. For the game, Tapia went 1 for 3 with a triple. He drove in 2 runs and scored once.

"It was a good effort all around," said Constable.
