Both teams had their opportunities, but in the end, the Bloomington Blazers got the win.
Victor Favela pitched well enough to win, but it was not to be. The Quebec Armada, despite Favela's fine outing, dropped a 3-2 decision to the Bloomington Blazers at Lucky 7 Ballpark. Bloomington pitcher Jason Skora got the win. He's now 3-2. Victor Favela was tagged with the loss.
The Blazers got a big at-bat from first baseman Josh Neuner. For the game, Neuner went 1-4 with a home run, while adding 2 RBI and scoring once. In the top of the first, with a runner on 2nd, he stroked a 2-run home run. His 17th home run of the season gave Bloomington a 2-0 lead.
"Tough loss," said Quebec manager Rod Cirilo. "But we'll learn from it."
The Blazers move to 40-33 with the win, while the Armada drop to 33-40.
