Earthquakes Trip Mavericks, 6-3, in Extra Innings
The San Francisco Earthquakes got a rain-soaked win over the El Paso Mavericks.

San Francisco starter Gilberto Velazquez pitched well against the El Paso Mavericks at The Corral. The right-hander led his team to a win, 6-3, in 11 innings. San Francisco pitcher Dakson Rocket earned the win, hiking his record to 3-4. Morgan Henn suffered the loss.

Dusty Salstrom provided a timely hit. The San Francisco third baseman delivered a 2-run triple in the top of the 11th inning to put the Earthquakes on top, 5-3. It was his only hit in the game, but he made it count.

"I'm proud of the way our guys played today to come out with this win," Velazquez told the San Francisco Daily.

The third-place Mavericks now sit at 42-37.
