Shannon Rips 2 Homers in 14-4 Win
The Chicago Eclipse cruised to a win over the Seattle Sasquatch, 14-4, at Millennium Field. Jason Shannon led the way, going 3-for-4 for Chicago. Nick Leicht, who finished 5th in the RCL in wins with 17 in 2056, was the winning pitcher. Over 6 innings, he allowed 3 runs on 6 hits, with 4 walks and 5 strikeouts. The second-place Eclipse now have a win-loss record of 47-33.

Miguel Benavides had a big 2-run home run for the Eclipse in the bottom of the first inning. With Chicago trailing 1-0 and a runner on 1st, he sized up a fastball from Andy Mitchell, who is tied for 8th in the TML with a 1.28 WHIP, and punished it. The result was his 8th home run of the season, which put the Eclipse on top, 2-1.

"There were things that we could've improved upon," said Eclipse manager Demetrio Recchia, "but all in all, I'm satisfied with our performance."
