Behind the hitting of Jay Starr, the Bighorn Bison stopped the Kansas City Tornadoes, 5-2. Starr went 2-3 with a home run and a double, while adding 3 RBI and scoring once for the Bison. Their 43-37 record puts the Bison second in the Thurman Munson League West Division.

The game turned with two out in the top of the fourth. That's when Starr hit a 2-run home run off Simon Slama. It propelled the Bison into the lead, 3-1.

"I had some good swings out there," said Starr.
