Jacksonville beat Montreal in a rain-soaked ballgame.

Chris McEvoy propelled his team to victory over the Montreal Mounties. The final score was 4-3, Jacksonville. Tyler Martin earned his 16th save, after closing out the game.

Jacksonville took a 4-3 lead on Luis Velez's 14th home run of the season. The solo home run, which Velez hit in the bottom of the eighth, left Montreal pitcher Leonardo Cortez visibly frustrated.

"Chalk one up for the good guys," said Velez. "I'm sure our fans enjoyed that win."

The win makes Jacksonville 40-39.
