Millers, Jazz Trade Players Friday, June 9th , 2062 Proving the old adage that one man's trash is another man's treasure, the Millers announced today the acquisition of 17-year old minor league RHP Cortez Aguirre and 19-year old minor league RHP Luis Velez from the Montreal Jazz in exchange for 27-year old RHP Steve Herring. "This isn't the deal of the century," acknowledged the Millers, "but we think it will improve the direction of both teams." To date this season, Herring has 11 saves with a 2-1 mark and 3.00 ERA. |
