Corson 5-for-5 for Pilots Thursday, April 5th , 2063 Sam Corson exploded for a barrage of base hits at Arnold Field. The Jacksonville second baseman had a field day in his team's 10-5 triumph over the Vancouver Pioneers, finishing 5-for-5. "My hitting philosophy is simple," he said. "I focus on just seeing the ball and I try to get a good pitch." Corson must have focused at least 5 times and apparently got some good pitches, too, leading to one of his best days ever with the bat. Sam Corson hit an RBI single in the 1st, hit an RBI single in the 3rd, hit a two-run home run off Matt Mansel in the 4th, hit a two-run home run off Jose Calderon in the 6th and hit an RBI double in the 8th.
