Pangle Too Tough, Blanks West Island
Sunday, July 27th , 2064
Ryan Pangle bent a little, but he didn't break against the West Island Jazz. The Kansas City Tornadoes pitcher hurled a 3-hit, 7-0 shutout in a fine performance, surrendering 2 walks and tallying 8 strikeouts.
"Ryan is good at getting out of jams," Tornadoes manager Lewis Cannon told reporters after the game. "He's almost more effective when he gets guys on base or gets behind in the count, because he uses your aggressiveness against you."
In 20 starts this season, Pangle has gathered 10 wins while suffering 8 losses. He has pitched 135.1 innings, allowed 145 hits, struck out 103 and has a 5.32 ERA.
