Hit Streak Now at 34 for Bitner Wednesday, September 3rd , 2064 The number just keeps getting higher. Maple first baseman Earl Bitner has now extended his hitting string to 34 games. He did it today with 2 hits in 4 at-bats as the Maple won the game, 10-3, over the Milwaukee Millers at Magnificent Marauders Mansion. "Who knows how long it will go on?" Milwaukee manager Kakuzo Kobayashi said. "He's certainly tough to pitch to right now." Earl Bitner hit an RBI single in the 1st, grounded out in the 3rd, walked in the 5th, struck out in the 6th and singled in the 8th. For the year, Bitner is batting .318 with 23 home runs, 90 RBIs and 66 runs scored. |
