Corson Tags Earthquakes for 5 Hits Friday, September 12th , 2064 Sam Corson really sizzled at the plate in his team's 8-6 win over the San Francisco Earthquakes. The Jacksonville second baseman blistered San Francisco for 5 hits in 5 at-bats. "Corson was too tough to get out today," the Earthquakes skipper said in the postgame interview. "No matter what we threw him, he hit it. And he hit some good pitches, too." Sam Corson hit an RBI single in the 1st, hit a two-run home run off Jeff Agin in the 3rd, hit a two-run home run off Nick Derr in the 4th, singled in the 6th and singled in the 8th.
