Mexico City's Paskert Down with Injury Sunday, September 21st , 2064 The doctors have spoken and Cody Paskert of the Mexico City Luchadores didn't like what he heard. The 22-year-old reliever is almost certainly gone for the rest of the year and depending on his progress could miss some of next season as well. Paskert sustained his season-ending injury during the Montreal Mounties game yesterday at Mount Royal Grounds. He had to leave the game because he hurt himself while throwing a pitch. Today the Mexico City medical staff reported Paskert had a damaged elbow ligament and would be absent from the lineup for at least 11-12 months. This year, Paskert has chalked up a 6.95 ERA with 1 save. In 33 relief appearances he has put up a 0-6 won-lost mark and struck out 41 batters in 45.1 innings. |
