Walnut Creek Advances to Round 2 Thursday, October 16th , 2064 The Walnut Creek Warriors have eliminated the San Francisco Earthquakes and are off to the Round 2. Walnut Creek won the final game by a 6-2 score and thus clinched the series 4-1. "We think this is our year, but we're taking it one game at a time," said Dan Edwards, who was named series MVP. For the series, Edwards hit .619 with a .636 on-base percentage. He drove in 12 RBI and scored 8 runs. The Walnut Creek Warriors will play against the Bloomington Blazers in the next round.
