Thunder Bay Shuts Out State College, 7-0 Tuesday, April 11th , 2062 The State College Swallowtails had no answer for Thunder Bay Black Bears pitcher Garrett Dwyer. They failed to score a single run against him, losing, 7-0. State College managed only 3 hits off Dwyer, who had 6 strikeouts. The extraordinarily popular Dwyer got a standing ovation from the hometown crowd as he left the field, the applause continuing until he returned from the dugout to tip his cap to the crowd. "Black Bears fans are the best fans, in my opinion," he said. "It's a great feeling to throw a shutout under any circumstances, but to do it with the crowd behind you like that is just incredible."
