Hitting Streak Still Alive for Paiz Wednesday, July 23rd , 2064 Antonio Paiz continued his streak at Cowboys Field, even as the ballgame did not go his way. The Cozumel left fielder was 1-for-4 in today's contest and now has hit safely in his last 20 games. The Beaches were not as fortunate, losing, 4-0, to the Calgary Cowboys. "Paiz was hitting everything we threw at him," said Calgary manager Thomas Hughes. "He is a tough out. Fortunately, things went our way in the ballgame and we came away with a win." Antonio Paiz grounded out in the 1st, grounded out in the 3rd, struck out in the 5th and singled in the 8th. This year, Paiz is hitting .329 with 15 home runs and 51 RBIs in 85 games played. He also boasts an OBP of .412 with 37 walks and 57 runs scored. |
