Recovery Slow for Black Bears John Driscoll Sunday, October 12th , 2064 Yesterday Thunder Bay starting pitcher John Driscoll sustained a setback in his recovery from back tightness. The Black Bears medical staff told him it would be at least one week before he will be able to return to action. Driscoll told reporters, "The healing process has gone extremely well. This is just a little hiccup and a little setback." Apparently Driscoll worked a little too hard in a recent workout and caused more damage. His doctors have advised him to do only light exercise and give the injury time to heal. Thus far this season, Driscoll has posted a 5-3 record, started 18 games, struck out 74 batters in 107.2 innings and compiled a 4.43 ERA. |
