Beverly Raps 3 HR Against Blues Wednesday, June 7th , 2062 Anyone wearing a glove and sitting in the bleachers for today's Five O's-Blues game had a good chance at snagging a home run ball. Oconomowoc left fielder Tom Beverly thrice sent eager fans scurrying to catch a souvenir, helping lead the Oconomowoc to a win, 18-5, over Memphis. "Hey, the three homers were great, but I'm just trying to help my ballclub," Beverly said later. "I'm not going out there thinking I need another home run." Beverly was 3-for-4 on the day with 7 runs batted in. Tom Beverly was hit by a pitch in the 1st, hit a two-run home run off David Burger in the 3rd, hit a two-run home run off Tim Bilderback in the 4th, hit a three-run home run off Jim Goldsmith in the 5th, walked in the 6th and struck out in the 8th. |
