20-Game Hitting Streak for Carnes Saturday, August 18th , 2063 The San Antonio River Bandits fell to the West Virginia Dancin' Outlaws in The Rain Forest, even as 19-year-old second baseman Dan Carnes upped his consecutive-game hitting streak to 20 games. Carnes finished with 2 hits in 4 at-bats, but could not stop the River Bandits from dropping the 6-5 decision. "Yeah, I kept my streak going, but it would have been better to come away with a win," said Carnes. Dan Carnes walked in the 1st, grounded out in the 3rd, doubled in the 4th, singled in the 6th and struck out in the 9th. Currently Carnes is batting .386 with 167 hits and 18 home runs.
