Hazleton Out of Time, Out of Playoffs Friday, August 31st , 2063 A bad season for the Hazleton Birdwings isn't going to end with a miracle turnaround. The club was officially eliminated from postseason contention today. The Birdwings have made the playoffs 12 times in their 52 years as a SINGLE A franchise. This playoff miss is the club's 3rd in a row, with their last postseason appearance coming in 2060. In the last 10 seasons, the Birdwings have only made the playoffs once. Hazleton last won the Single A World Series in 2043. |
