Simmons Socks It to Lawmen, Cracks 5 Hits
Tuesday, September 25th , 2063
5 hits in a game is a rare thing, but Brisbane's Bill Simmons made it happen against the Lawmen. Everything came together at the plate for the 20-year-old first baseman as he collected 5 hits in 5 at-bats -- and helped the Bush Wackers triumph, 12-6, at The Cell.
"I'm just out there to try and help the team win," Simmons said after the game, "I had some real good at-bats. I made good, solid contact and luckily no one caught 'em."
Bill Simmons hit a two-run home run off Abdul Taylor in the 1st, singled in the 3rd, hit an RBI single in the 4th, singled in the 6th, walked in the 7th and hit an RBI double in the 9th.
Currently Simmons is hitting .369 and has collected 20 home runs, 123 RBIs and scored 115 times, while playing in 147 games.
