Rudolph Rips Charleston for 5 Hits
Wednesday, April 30th , 2064
There aren't many who could be pro ballplayers and there are even fewer who could put up 5 hits in a day.
Roy Rudolph is one of those rare few, as he went 5-for-6 against the Charleston Panthers at Franklin Mountains Field. The monster effort from the 23-year-old second baseman helped the Okanagan Lake Monsters get the win, 12-6.
"We made some bad pitches and he took advantage of it," said Panthers manager Harry Howell. "That's the game, though. Don't make mistakes and you'll win ballgames. Make mistakes and, well, you saw what happened today."
Roy Rudolph singled in the 1st, flied out in the 3rd, hit a two-run double in the 4th, singled in the 5th, singled in the 7th and hit an RBI single in the 8th.
This season, Rudolph is batting .394 with 4 home runs.
