Surrett Hits in 20 Consecutive Games Monday, June 2nd , 2064 The streak is alive and well -- at least for today. David Surrett did it again, bashing 1 hit in the contest at Abbey Stadium. For the last 20 games in a row, the 19-year-old first baseman has collected at least one hit. His efforts helped the Moonbeam Martians beat the Brisbane Bush Wackers, 11-0. "I'm happy I kept the streak going," Surrett told a standing-room-only crowd of reporters gathered in the Moonbeam clubhouse. "Honestly though, I'm looking forward to going home and not thinking about this for the rest of the day." David Surrett walked in the 2nd, struck out in the 3rd, doubled in the 5th and flied out in the 6th. During the current season Surrett is batting at a .426 clip with 6 home runs and 44 RBIs. He has played in 48 games and scored 42 times. |
