Super Swinger -- Carter Slams 5 Hits Friday, July 4th , 2064 Duncan Carter of the Hazleton Birdwings went on a hitting spree against the Okanagan Lake Monsters pitching staff, racking up 5 hits in 5 at-bats, but to no avail -- the Lake Monsters put a damper on his day and prevailed, 11-8, over the Birdwings. "It was a heck of a day and I was kind of looking forward to a better ending than that," he said later. Duncan Carter singled in the 1st, singled in the 3rd, singled in the 5th, singled in the 7th and hit an RBI single in the 9th. Carter is hitting .301 this year with 2 home runs and 37 RBIs.
