West Virginia Halts Forbush's Hitting Steak Tuesday, July 22nd , 2064 His run was over, but a Moonbeam victory took some of the disappointment out of Kenny Forbush losing his 22-game hitting streak. The 19-year-old left fielder did not get a hit in 4 at-bats, but the Martians whipped the West Virginia Dancin' Outlaws, 6-1, at The Rain Forest. "I did it on purpose just to get you all off my back," Forbush joked with reporters. "You're going to put in your stories that I said this as a joke, but what if it wasn't?"
