Big Bang! 3 HR for Moonbeam's Waddell Monday, July 28th , 2064 Moonbeam Martians catcher Justin Waddell had a magnificent game against the St. Petersburg Pelicans, rocketing three balls out of Billy Mathews Field to help the Martians win, 13-4. "I got some good pitches to hit and I creamed them," he said after the game. "The first was a big, fat fastball and the last two were hanging curves. All three were mistakes." For the game, Waddell went 3-for-4 with 10 RBIs and 3 runs scored. "There's a fine line between hitting home runs and line drives," Moonbeam manager Daniel Wilson said later. "Seems like Justin found his home run stroke today." Justin Waddell struck out in the 3rd, walked in the 5th, hit a GRAND SLAM off Esteban Paulino in the 6th, hit a two-run home run off Carlos Asencio in the 8th and hit a GRAND SLAM off Jean-Pierre Barreau in the 9th. Currently Waddell is batting .292 with 79 hits and 27 home runs. He has knocked in 93 runs and scored 74 times. |
