Victoria's Pruett Goes Ballistic with 5 Hits Thursday, August 28th , 2064 There was no storybook ending. Ryan Pruett of the Victoria Vikings socked it to the visiting Okanagan Lake Monsters with a terrific 5-hit game, but his team didn't get the win. The Vikings fell, 11-7, at The drakkar. "I don't want to sound ungrateful, but something is missing here," Pruett complained following the loss. "When you have a great game you should win the game, too." He definitely had an unforgettable day in the batter's box, ripping out 5 hits in 5 at-bats. Victoria manager Jim Edwards sympathized with his shortstop, telling BNN reporters after the game that "Ryan played a whale of a game, but sometimes individual brilliance is not enough." Ryan Pruett singled in the 2nd, hit an RBI single in the 4th, hit an RBI triple in the 6th, singled in the 7th and doubled in the 9th.
