Thursday, September 18th , 2064
Anyone wearing a glove and sitting in the bleachers for today's Apples-Bush Wackers game had a good chance at snagging a home run ball.
Carmel shortstop Raul Altamirano thrice sent eager fans scurrying to catch a souvenir, helping lead the Carmel to a win, 10-3, over Brisbane.
"Hey, the three homers were great, but I'm just trying to help my ballclub," Altamirano said later. "I'm not going out there thinking I need another home run."
Altamirano was 3-for-5 on the day with 6 runs batted in.
Raul Altamirano hit a three-run home run off Jose Ortegon in the 1st, struck out in the 3rd, hit a solo-shot off Bobby Maldonado in the 5th, hit a two-run home run off Omar Ruelas in the 7th and struck out in the 8th.
Currently Altamirano is hitting .293 and has collected 7 home runs, 27 RBIs and scored 26 times, while playing in 31 games.
