Vanderford Silences Bel Air, 2-0
Friday, September 26th , 2064
Jared Vanderford was in a mood to talk following the Moonbeam Martians contest against the Bel Air Princes, expounding to BNN reporters on his pitching philosophy. He had good reason to be excitable, having tossed a complete game shutout of the Princes, 2-0.
"There are three important elements in pitching success: location, location, and location," Vanderford said. "I was hitting my spots time and time again."
The left-hander blanked Bel Air on a 2-hitter, allowing 4 walks and racking up 13 strikeouts.
So far this season, Vanderford has logged a 15-3 record with a 3.41 ERA. He has started 23 games, hurled 177 innings and registered 208 strikeouts and 74 walks.
