Brownsville-Carmel Brawl, Rivera and Robles Suspended Wednesday, October 1st , 2064 Ramon Rivera of the Brownsville Bandits and Alberto Robles of the Carmel Apples will be on the sidelines for a few days. They have been suspended for 5 and 6 games respectively by the league office for causing the bench-emptying free-for-all at the recent Bandits-Apples game at BLM Stadium. Neither player had any comment about the suspensions. Both clubs told BNN Rivera and Robles will begin serving them soon. At the moment, Rivera is hitting .304 with 17 home runs and 77 RBIs. He has played in 109 games and scored 66 times. His record for the year is 4-0 in 2 starts and Robles has a 9.31 ERA. |
