Chippewa Out of Playoff Race Monday, October 6th , 2064 Chippewa River Chiefs starting pitcher Michael Melis said it is a "bitter disappointment" for he and his teammates to miss the playoffs. The remarks came hours after the club was mathematically eliminated from 2064 postseason contention. The River Chiefs have missed the playoffs 40 times in their 53 years as a HIGH SINGLE A franchise. This playoff miss is the club's 5th in a row, with their last postseason appearance coming in 2059. In the last 10 seasons, the River Chiefs have only made the playoffs once. Chippewa has won the League Championship Series 5 times in their history. |
