Mississippi State-Cal State Fullerton Brawl, Nelson and Gordon Suspended Friday, April 14th , 2062 After an intense confrontation, both the Bulldogs Dave Nelson and the Titans Keith Gordon were handed their punishments today. The league commissioner's office issued suspensions for an on-the-field conflict that occurred at a recent Mississippi State-Cal State Fullerton game. Dave Nelson will miss 4 games, while Keith Gordon was suspended for 8 games. "Sometimes we go too far and have to pay the consequences," Dave Nelson commented later. "Hopefully cooler heads will prevail the next time we play." Nelson is currently hitting .224 with no home runsand 5 RBIs, while scoring 6 runs. For the year, Gordon has collected 1 save in 9 relief appearances. He has also notched 12 strikeouts and 8 walks in 11.2 innings while registering a 8.49 ERA and a 0-1 won-lost record. |
